Hello good people! Let’s start with the bad news first.. Our dear Bears still haven’t turned up… Despite everyone’s strong efforts, that special someone out there still hasn’t heard about our story. After 3 television news stories, multiple front page newspaper releases, and much internet activity I am not sure how much farther we can expand our campaign! I will however, do my best ;).. We have some good ideas on how to break new ground in our investigation…
Now for the the good news (of which there is plenty)! Today the Bears made the front page again! Thank you to the good folks at the Montclarion for running our story.
We also want to thank all of the people who have sent us so many heartwarming emails! It gives me such a good feeling to receive them. They are slowly dissolving that last bit of hopelessness that is tucked away inside.
Another exciting development is that we have started to receive email and comments from viewers in Japan- the home country of our beloved Bears! We send our warm regards to you all out there in the land of Rilakkuma! Thank you for your words of encouragement and your support in our search.
What we are doing:
We are emailing national news organizations..
We are working on a new flyer.. (more details on our ” Flyer 2.0″ to come)
We are working on creating a new Bear video using bits and pieces of clips that we have..
I am trying to find out if the security cameras in the lobby of the theatre could have picked up an image of the person who picked up the Bears..
What you can do:
Keep blogging, emailing, facebook posting, twittering, my space posting, Mixi posting etc our Youtube videos and this website in order to help spread the word!
The Bears love Tokyo!
This summer we did a lot of sightseeing with the Bears in Japan. We had a great time and so did they. They were especially excited to go to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They were so excited about the free doughnuts that were given out while waiting in line, that they kept getting back in line over and over. When I told them it might not be such a great idea, they said that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Apparently bears need to eat 60,000 calories every day when they are storing up for hibernation. I said winter was a ways off, but they just looked at me with that blank look of theirs, shook their heads and skipped off giggling….
After eating too many doughnuts, we all walked around town, taking in the beautiful city of Tokyo!
Later on that evening we stopped by Tokyo Tower and reminisced about our fun day together.
